Admission: free (Your baggage, etc. will be checked for securing safety, but everyone can enter the public viewing site no matter whether he/she has a ticket.)

The Rugby World Cup winners’ trophy is coming!!

The Webb Ellis Cup is the trophy awarded to the winners of the Rugby World Cup. It has been on tour throughout Japan, and will be on display at Kumagaya’s public viewing area.
The trophy symbolizes the history behind the cup, and the fighting spirit and emotions which rugby players have put towards winning the cup. This is a valuable chance to see the trophy which has been yearned for by so many players.

Writing messages on the Japan supporters’ flag

A “big flag campaign” will be held, in which fans can write messages on the giant jersey-shaped flag which will be used to cheer on Japan. Let’s send our messages of encouragement for the Japanese team, which is aiming to advance past the group stage for the first time.

 

Contents

・Let’s root for the squad together; “Public viewing with a huge screen.”

・“Stage shows” filled with rugby contents (talk shows on rugby, mini rugby concerts, Scmum! Kumagaya Project, etc.)

・“Catering booth” where you can savor the foods of Saitama and Kumagaya.

・You will be welcomed by a parade float used for Kumagaya Uchiwa Festival.

The Saitama Prefecture and Kumagaya City held a public viewing of the Lipovitan D Challenge Cup 2018 that was held in June.
