The Rugby World Cup 2019TM special livery train has departed!

To commemorate 200 days until the beginning of the Rugby World Cup 2019TM to be held in Japan, special livery advertising the hosting of the Rugby World Cup 2019TM in Kumagaya, Saitama was applied to a train (three cars) operated by Chichibu Railway. On Saturday, March 2, a departure ceremony for the train was held at Chichibu Railway’s Kumagaya Station. The train will carry out three to four round trips per day on Chichibu Railway until the end of the competition.

The exterior

On the nameplate on the front of the train are the mascots Ren-G, and the sides of the train are wrapped with the life-sized photos of rugby players.
The impressive sight of the rugby players approaching the platform is certainly worth seeing.

The first car: “Advertisement for the competition”

The six teams which will play matches at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium Saitama during the Rugby World Cup 2019TM Japan are introduced.

The second car: “Kumagaya Rugby Stadium Saitama”

The concept of this car is “a moving rugby ground.”
The main stand is displayed in front, while the back stand spreads out towards the back.

The third car: “The host city special supporters”

This car is wrapped with the host city special supporters.
